Our latest café find in Taipei looks like something straight from the pages of Vogue – It’s a fashion lover’s dream! The owner and brains behind this gorgeous café in Yongkang District is famous Taiwan fashion blogger, Leslie (@lesleslin) who is also the owner of Les Picolla right across the street, and part-owner of A Fabules Day. All three cafes are equally gorgeous, but I think this one might be my favorite.
The name Les Africot is a mixture between Africa and apricot, and so is the beautiful interiors with African inspired décor and tones of apricot, with touches of modern design elements such as marble, rattan and velvet furniture. We are obsessed with the interior and couldn’t stop taking pictures. Scroll down to see what the fuss is about!

The menu is filled with French-inspired drinks, desserts and mains, from sweet souffles and cakes, to stews, pasta and croissants. Liesl and I were both craving something light (yet hearty and not-so-healthy), so opted for their Ham & Cheese Truffle Croissant. It was DELICIOUS! We couldn’t resist their beautiful desserts either and just had to treat ourselves to something sweet, so we ordered the Pear Vanilla Mont Blanc Cake to share, served on the most adorable plate I did ever see. We each also had a Cafe Au Lait – French for “coffee with milk”.

Our morning at Les Africot was so lovely and a much-needed treat for two tired mamas! If you’re looking for a beautiful and quiet spot to unwind, enjoy delicious desserts and coffee, catch up with a friend, or need a gorgeous backdrop for photography, Les Africot is the place to be.
